Rangers FC owner to sue BBC for defamation

The owner of Rangers Football Club, Craig Whyte, is reportedly seeking legal advice in preparation to launch a lawsuit against BBC Scotland for defamation over a documentary it aired about him in October.

Mr Whyte is understood to have consulted Glasgow law firm Bannatyne Kirkwood France (BKF) and Co. to start legal proceedings against BBC Scotland.

Moodys affirms Girbraltar Life’s IFS after merger

Moodys has affirmed the A2 insurance financial strength (IFS) rating of Gibraltar Life Insurance following its merger with AIG Edison and AIG Star Life. The rating outlook of Gibraltar Life remains positive.

At the same time, Moodys affirmed and withdrew the IFS rating of AIG Edison because of a reorganisation of the company and its merger into Gibraltar Life.
