U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Nov. 29 he was crafting a plan with other Republicans to extend payroll tax cuts, which if allowed to expire this year could could cause the average family making $50,000 per year to have to pay an additional $1,000 in income taxes for 2011.

21Actress Eva Longoria, best known for her role on the hit US TV show Desperate Housewives, is reportedly facing a public liability lawsuit after a woman allegedly slipped and injured herself at the Las Vegas restaurant Longoria owns.
According to the lawsuit, which has been filed at L.A. County Superior Court, Luiza Boyadijan claims she visited the Beso restaurant last year as part of birthday celebrations with friends and family.

Wedding insurance customers may be shocked to hear how England manager Fabio Capello is set to miss his sons nuptials.
Pierfilippo Capello will tie the knot on Saturday (November 12th) without his father in attendance after a match had to be rescheduled.
A clash with Barcelonas domestic games has led to the England friendly with Spain being moved from Friday to the following day.
The Football Association confirmed Capello will be at Wembley instead of the wedding and it seems his son understands the managers commitments.
“He is a football manager first; he has been that ever since I was a child and sometimes being a football manager can make strange demands on your time,” the groom-to-be told the Independent.
As well as a long career as a manager, Capello was a successful midfielder with Italian teams Roma, Juventus and Milan.
He took over as England boss in December 2007.
