Couple split 4 days after saying ‘I do’

A couple from Penrhiwceiber, near Aberdare, may have had one of the shortest marriages on record after splitting just four days after getting hitched.

Nicky Pearce and Tammy Drivers union quickly unravelled just days after they said their vows when the pair ended up in having a violent row.

Mr Pearce is said to have accused his 21-year-old bride of flirting with his best friend and then bit her on the face.

The couple may have overlooked wedding insurance ahead of their ceremony, as they enjoyed a whirlwind romance that saw them wed just three months after meeting.

Dominion Dental kicks off campaign with D.C. United

Dominion Dental Services, a provider and administrator of dental and vision benefits in the mid-Atlantic, is partnering with D.C. United, the professional soccer team, on an marketing campaign.

Twitter sued in defamation row

The micro-blogging site Twitter is reportedly being sued by an Australian man who claims another user defamed him in a tweet.

Joshua Meggitt was reportedly accused in a tweet by writer and TV personality Marieke Hardy of authoring a long-running blog which had published “ranting, hateful” articles about her. Her tweet in November 2011 read as follows:

“I name and shame my ‘anonymous’ internet bully. Liberating business! Join me”.

XL Group : announces $750 million share buyback

XL Group announced that the Board of Directors of the Company approved a new share buyback program, authorizing the Company to buy back up to $750 million of its ordinary shares. This authorization replaces the approximately $190 million remaining under a previously authorized share buyback program.

The Company expects the purchases to be made from time to time in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions, and that such purchases are expected to be funded from cash on hand.
