Law firm Collyer Bristow is reportedly being sued for negligence over its part in the doomed takeover of Rangers Football Club by Craig Whyte.
The law firm is said to have overseen negotiations in which Scottish businessman Whyte bought the club for the puny sum of just £1.
In the lawsuit, the administrators of the football club, Duff and Phelps, are accusing Collyer Bristow of a number of failings. These include professional negligence and a breach of rights and obligations.

California insurance regulators are introducing, to the dismay of the insurance industry, controversial legislation to limit self-insurance for small businesses that they say undermines the federal health care reform.
California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones is expected to propose legislation this week that would bar insurers from selling stop-loss policies below a certain amount.

A horse riding school in Wales has been ordered to pay out a total of £37,000 in accident compensation to a woman who was injured following a serious horse riding fall.
Ceri Tonkinson was riding at the Cosmeton Country Park back in July 2007 when the incident occurred. Instructor Stephen Davies, from the Penarth Downside Riding School, was riding up behind her but she asked him to wait before overtaking her so that she could settle her horse, which had only recently been broken in.

Taiwan will tighten checks on beef imports over food safety fears surrounding a controversial additive used to promote lean meat, officials said.
Several shipments of imported beef have been pulled from Taiwans shelves this year after they were found to be treated with ractopamine.
